Psychology Project Worker

JOB SUMMARY:

Main Responsibilities:

Under the supervision and direction of the Clinical Psychologist to provide psychological input to an individual service user with challenging needs.
Monitoring and analysis of service user related data.
Under supervision and direction to provide assessment reports, guidelines and reactive plans on behalf of Gheel Autism Services.
To work directly with staff and service users and to model best practice.
The post holder is expected to champion person centred low arousal support strategies for staff in Gheel.
Maintain collaborative working relationships with psychology colleagues, multidisciplinary staff, and as required with outside agencies.
To liaise with services, statutory organisations and others regarding individual service users.
To attend supervision sessions, and receive additional supervision and support from other members of the Clinical team as appropriate.
Maintain proper records of service provided in a manner compatible with Freedom of Information Act.
Uphold your ethical duties and responsibilities as outlined in the Psychological Society of Ireland Code of Ethics.
Other duties may be agreed with the service director and the clinical psychologist as and when required.

Applicants must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in an ID service for adults, preferably experience of supporting service users with autism.

Initially the post will be for a 12-month period. It may be possible to extend the post subject to funding.
