Suitable for those with a Level 7 Major Award/ or third level qualification at degree level in Psychology, Nursing, Allied Health, or Education, focusing on autism support and neurodiversity.

Your Recruitment Journey
Apply via our current vacancies page or external job boards by creating a profile, uploading your CV, and completing the mandatory application form. After submission, you can track your application progress in your profile.
Application Review: The HR team carefully reviews your application. Due to high application volumes, we are unable to provide individual feedback for unsuccessful candidates.
Screening Call: Shortlisted candidates may receive a phone screening to discuss experience, availability, and suitability.
Interview: If shortlisted, you will be invited for an interview, either in person or via Microsoft Teams, typically with 2-3 team members. You should be prepared to discuss your qualifications and experience.
Decision & Feedback: You will be informed of the expected hiring decision timeline. Feedback may be provided to interviewed candidates upon request.
Job Offer & Pre-Employment Checks: If successful, HR will send an offer email outlining next steps, including Garda Vetting, a Pre-Employment Medical, and reference checks.
Timeline: The full process including Garda Vetting typically takes minimum of 4 weeks, depending on the role and required pre-employment checks.
Multiple Applications: You can apply for multiple roles; however, only one application will be processed at a time.
Security: The application process is secure, ensuring personal information is protected.

Student Placements: We offer limited internship/placement opportunities based on service needs.
Visa Sponsorship: Gheel does not offer visa sponsorships; applicants must already be eligible to work in Ireland.
Proof of Eligibility: You must provide a valid passport or visa permit to confirm your right to work in Ireland.
A panel consists of candidates who have successfully completed all recruitment stages and are deemed suitable for appointment as vacancies arise.
Panels are not ranked—candidates are selected based on role availability, location, and team needs.
Placement on a panel does not guarantee a job offer.
Panel Expiry: Panels typically remain active for 6 months but may be extended or shortened based on organisational needs.
Declining an Offer: If you decline an offer, you may remain on the panel if desired.
Reapplying: You can apply for multiple vacancies, but only one application is considered at a time. A new application is required for each role.

Gheel Autism Services will support the following types of training and development:
Job specific training – training and development that increases employee skills and abilities to meet the requirements of their current position at Gheel.
Career development – training and development that builds employee competencies to prepare them for future positions at Gheel.
Educational Development – courses that support Gheel operations obtained through a credited educational institution.
Funding for Elective Professional Training - Gheel operates a flexible Educational Assistance Programme to allow staff attain the next level in their educational development and career progression. Once you have successfully passed the probationary period and are a permanent member of staff you may apply for funding under Gheel’s Elective Professional Training Programme. Applications will be considered for courses of all lengths, from seminars and workshops to long duration educational development courses. In instances of successful applications, a reimbursement of fees may apply.
